Blue Mountains Fitness Director and Principal Trainer Tony Williams has been involved in the recreation and fitness industry in Australia since 1993 and has led an adventurous life – Tony is aware of the challenges we all face when it comes to personal fitness at any level whether starting out or taking on the ultimate challenge.  In addition, he was a firefighter for Fire Rescue New South Wales for 10 years and has in depth experience dealing with major and minor incidents and injuries in extreme circumstances.

His passion has led him to pursue a rewarding career in the fitness industry. He has worked in the gym, health retreats, bootcamps, school camps and personal training environments with clients ranging from weight loss, elite athletes, school children, disabilities, youth at risk, sporting teams, corporate groups and normal everyday people trying to improve their fitness and general wellbeing.

 

He played representative rugby union, was a successful mountaineer with expeditions to Alaska and Europe and rock climbed around the world including Australia, Europe, China, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. He has climbed the famous 'Nose' route on the big wall of El Capitan in Yosemite, California.

The many sporting challenges he has undertaken and completed include Ultra Trail Mont Blanc 100 mile trail race, several North Face Ultra Trail Australia 100km trail races in The Blue Mountains, Ironman United Kingdom, Ironman WA and Ironman Melbourne (3.8km swim/180km bike/42km run), LeEtapu D'Tour cycle race in France (100km plus including the famous Alpe D'Huez and Col Du Galibier hill climbs), full marathons, ocean swimming races and many trail ultra-marathons. He has completed the Hawkesbury 111km kayak race twice and raced marathon mountain bike races including the 'Wildside' 4 day stage race.

Adam Brogan

Background

He has been working as a trainer at Plus Fitness Katoomba since July 2018, and has run boot camps, HIIT classes and personal training.

 

Through university, Adam has gained knowledge of the processes that lead to a range of chronic health issues (obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, mental health and more), and how to safely prescribe exercise to manage and improve them.  He also has knowledge and experience in exercise testing, physical assessments, and exercise prescription for all abilities and health conditions.

Qualifications

​Adam graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science in 2017, and is now studying a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Charles Sturt University.

Interests

Areas of particular interest include exercise for improving mental health and exercise for metabolic diseases.

 
 
Will Hunt

Background

Will began training many years ago for the same reason many people do: he was unhappy with his own condition and wanted to change it! Along the way he has learnt some valuable lessons and feels that he has a lot to offer those who have the desire, drive and patience to change their lifestyles.

 

Being a competitive athlete in mixed martial arts and formerly in wrestling, he recognises the importance of working hard, but also working smart!   His programming certainly reflects that he encourages all clients of mine to master the basics.

Qualifications

A qualified personal trainer and Level 1 Boxing Trainer, Will also holds a Level One coaching qualification with Precision Nutrition. 

His main areas of expertise are strength and conditioning, weight loss, body composition, boxing and sports performance.

Interests

Mixed marshal arts, boxing and maximising peformance.

 
Jen Whitehouse

Background

I reached middle age and realised that I had become very unhealthy and needed to change my lifestyle in many ways. After 6 months of training, commencing long distance running with my husband, and changing some bad habits, I lost 20kg and felt much healthier and capable of doing so many things and I successfully completed my first half marathon.

Now owns the Plus Fitness 24/7 Katoomba gym and work with Tony and the team from Blue Mountains Fitness to assist others to realise their health and fitness potential.

Qualified personal trainer, Level 1 Boxing Trainer

Interests

Assist others set and achieve health and fitness goals, regardless of their age, gender or current level of fitness.  Her goal as a trainer is to help others be the healthiest person they can be, and prevent the onset of chronic diseases that are so prevalent in society today.
